Fang of the Twins is a Large Sword in NieR: Automata

Fang of the Twins Information

"A colossal axe offered unto the gods."

  • "A giant, cursed axe, anointed with the blood of innocent twins to assuage the wrath of the gods."

Where to Find\Location

  • It's located on top of one of the fire-escape staircases just after the Desert Housing Complex's access point. Head further in from the access point, hang left around the fallen structure and there should be a staircase just at the end of that road forcing a right turn (that will take you under a rusted out road sign). If you go under the rusted road sign, you've gone too far.

Notes

  • Critical + gives crit chance.
  • Bullet Rupture causes a shockwave when you strike projectiles.

Weapon Story

 Level 1

Twin souls were sacrificed to twin gods and bound to an unbreakable dual-bladed axe. Whenever nicked or damaged, it would instantly repair itself. The two blades would never part. They would be together for the rest of time."

 Level 2

The souls in the blade yearned to be as one. To grow old as one. To fall in love as one. It is why we both love the same person."

 Level 3

I am myself. I am myself!

Look at me. Look at me!

Give me love. Give me love!

Stop copying me. I'm not!"

 Level 4

We are together. We are one. Life or death. Even if we kill our foes. Even if we kill each other. Our two bodies will be as one for all time. Someone separate us. Oh god please someone help m"

This is one of the first weapons you can upgrade to level 3, making it the best option for the early game.

fang of the twin looks like the upgraded twins' fang from the original Drakengard

Route B (cannot confirm if route A or not), just as comment below says, top of one of the fire-escape staircases just after the desert housing complex's access point. Head further in from the access point, hang a left around the fallen/ collapsing structure and there should be a staircase just at the end of that road forcing a right turn (that will take you under a rusted out road sign ). If you go under the rusted road sign, you've gone too far.
