Advanced Legpower models become first available in the Forest, specifically in the courtyard in front of the castle. One can also be found in the Camp Developments quest. Route B has one right outside of the shopping mall (in front of the bridge) sometimes, and in Route C all but the Goliaths in the Desert sinkhole can switch to being the legpower ones. Among the materials they drop, the forest ones at least drop Resilience chips. The #1 piece of advice for fighting them should be to shoot out their leg armor first so that they can't hurt you by touching them (even if you kill them, their legs will still hurt you if you touch them, if the armor is still on them). When they jump, just make sure you're not on the ground when they land and they can't hurt you with the jump at all. Their leg sweep and rampage can be chain dodged by spamming Evade when close to them, and the best time to attack is flanking them as they go to charge up their laser (when they get on their knees).
