Standard Effects

When upgrading a weapon, it may receive a bonus to certain stats.

Name Description
Stun Up Increases stun value dealt to enemies.
ATK Speed Up Increases the speed of attacks.
Robot Discount Grants a discount at the machine shops (does not have to be equipped).
Discount Grants a discount at the Resistance shops (does not have to be equipped).
Endurance Up Increases defense.
Critical + Increases the frequency of critical hits.

 

Special Abilities

Up reaching the maximum upgrade level, every weapon receives a special ability.

 

Name Description
Bullet Absorb Cutting through projectiles restores HP.
High Stun Adds a high probability of stunning enemies.
Beast's Roar Adds a beast effect to close-range attacks.
Phoenix Flash Chance of restoring HP when damaging enemies.
Bullet Rupture Adds a shock wave when striking enemy projectiles, which eliminates all other projectiles in the area of effect.
Energy Charge Charges while not attacking, which increases attack for a short time.
Finish Blast Detonates the final hit of close-range combos.
Holy Blessing Increases attack power when HP is full.
Dark Impulse Increases attack power when HP is at 30% or less.
Pod Charge Lowers skill-gauge cooldown when attacking.
Machine Brand Does more damage as you defeat machine enemies. Maximum 500.
Steel Spine Decreases chance of staggering from attacks.
Dragon Wings Increases power of mid-air attacks.
Turn Coat Chance to subjugate foes when attacking them. Only one enemy at a time can be subjugated this way.
Angel's Mercy Restores HP when finishing off enemies.
Devil's Hatred Adds a shockwave when finishing off enemies.
Shift Avoid Changes appearance of damage values and your evade maneuver.
Hero's Sigil Changes appearance of damage values and treasure chests.
Insanity Swing these weapons to hear Emil's voice.

      Did a bit of testing with endurance up on a small enemy (lv 32 and I'm level 44) and it doesn't seem to do anything at all. Perhaps there's a damage cap on underleveled enemies, or it's just bugged... Also melee damage chip doesn't seem to stack at all, it just uses the one with the highest value.

        So hero's sigil works even if it's on your weapon set 2 and you equip weapon set 1. Is this the only special effect that works like this?

          If you have a small sword with Critical + and your second weapon is the pipe with critical + - does the critical effects of both these weapons stack? *meaning if i use these two together, will my crits be doubled as opposed to only using 1 and having the secondary slot empty *

            Discount effectsare indeed applied even if the weapons aren't equiped. It's true for both Discout and Robot Discount.

              I don't know about the other abilities but it seems Discount works even if you don't have the weapon equipped. Can anyone else confirm?

              • it doesnt seem like weapon effects are used unless the actual weapon is actively used.
                for example, virtuous contract in your heavy slot wont buff a beastbane in your light slot

                  Turn Coat Chance to subjugate foes when attacking them.? what is the chance? is it based of levels?
                  Robot Discount Grants a discount at the machine shops.? does this stack for 2b and a2?
