Eve (Boss) is a Boss in NieR: Automata. Eve is Adam's twin brother. He acts as the main antagonist of NieR: Automata. Bosses are special larger Enemies that can be encountered throughout the game in different Locations. A Boss encounter will usually signify game progress or a chapter ending when following the main storyline. Some of these bosses may first be encountered As NPCs to introduce some Lore and backstory before they are inevitably faced in a Combat encounter as a Boss. Boss encountered are identified by their introductory title that will be displayed just before combat begins. Their HP bar and Level will also be displayed above the character throughout the combat encounter. Some bosses in the game may be optional and avoided. Chapter 5: Eve was again encountered in the alien mothership. He has the ability to regenerate no matter how many times he is killed, and adores the unit known as Adam-- who he thinks of as an older brother.

Chapter 10: After going mad with rage over the loss of Adam, Eve gained the ability to unleash powerful attacks with an arm clad in debris. Thanks to the desperate hacking work of 9S, he was eventually separated from the network and killed.

Eve (Boss) Strategy (Melee) NieR Automata
When the battle begins, Eve's arms will be covered in metal armor and he will use them as weapons. He will punch out directly and also initiate a spinning attack. Dodge his attacks and take the offensive. Eventually, he will take to the air. Move to where he is at on the upper platforms. Continue your attacks here and he will periodically leap to other platforms.When the fight goes back down to the ground attack him and eventually he will ball up with debris and regenerate. The fight will resume again as before with similar attack patterns. Evenutally a cutscene will play and he'll blast you clear of him. For the last phase he will now be hovering and will start by letting out walls of orbs.
The trick with Eve is to always use the arena to try to circle around him and take attack cues on when to back away. This way you are always trying to repositon yourself to gain a safe window and angle yourself behind Eve giving you open opportunities to attack while avoiding damage. Once you reach the phase where he starts to release orbs, repeat the same process while trying to stay out of his line of sight. Use a combination of running in between orb release formations. After each release, run in to get a few hits then back up to give you space to avoid the next set of orbs. You can slowly deplete his HP this way until the fight is over. Use recovery items in these attack windows when your hp gets low.
If you have a hard time, you can use Missiles to stagger him and slow down his offensive attacks. It is also possible to reload to reach an Item store to stock up on additional items to further help with your encounter. When looking for items to use against him, look for items to slow him down to give you more opportunities to approach throughout the fight.

| Machine Arms | Eve's arms will be reinforced with machine parts. As soon as combat begins, use all available melee attacks and be officnsive. |
| Punch | Eve uses his reinforced arms to pack a powerful punch. Position yourself to his sides to avoid. Once he begins to drawback dodge or jump up to avoid damage and attack the opposite side of the punch. |
| Sweep | When his arms swing back, distance yourself to avoid the incoming sweep that will affect anything within its immediate range. |
| Punch Combo | He will attempt to throw multiple punches. You can avoid this by leaping away and then attacking him from behind. |
| Energy Strike | At this point of the fight, he would've positioned to higher ground. You will be forced to use the available platforms to reach him. Watch his moves to see if he will send out a strike and quickly dodge them or quickly move through the platforms to avoid keeping still. |
| Downwards Strike | A melee attack where he uses to arms to throw down a strike. Dodge to the side since this is a linear move. |
| Radial swing | While back on ground, back away from this attack since his arms will reach the area surrounding him. This attack could extend to a larger range later on. |
| Regenerate | Continue attacking him till he begins his regeneration move. He will ball up with debris and regenerate. This will be followed with the same pattern of attacks. |

| Continueous Orbs (linear) | These are the orbs seens throughout the game that will take up different formations. You have to keep circling around him to reduce the chances of getting hit. His basic formation will be to shoot out a continues sporadic stream of orbs that generally move in the direction he's facing. Get out of his line of sight to avoid getting hit. |
| Orb Wall (7 row) | One of the formations is a wall of 7 rows of orbs that fly out one panel at a time. These move fairly quickly so continue to move to the side to avoid them or otherwise back up to gain a better chance or slipping in between the rows of orbs. |
| Orb Rows | This shoots out a wider wall that spreads out into separate rows. Since this wall is shorter, you have a chance to duck under or jump over them. |

| Radial orb formations | He releases a 360 wall or orbs that disperse out around him and continues to uses the same of the old formations |
| Walls of orbs | These are similar orb formation from what he has been using but multiple walls can be stacked back to back. Move off to the side, or otherwise risk getting hit my multiple walls. |
