Plug-in Chips Reference Guide

Plug-in Chips Reference Guide features values and tables about NieR: Automata's Plug-in Chip Levels & Fusion Ranks. The information below is to help players with better understanding the percentage and values of a Plug-in Chip in its different levels. We would like to give a Special Thanks to Project2501 (PSN: FILE_PRJ2501) for letting us use his Spreadsheet.

After taking some time fusing chips I have found that this chart here is quite wasteful. Many of the lower ranks are still quite usable and less than half the chips need to be diamond in order to become a +8 diamond chip. You can in fact keep far higher ranks of chips. Even an 8 cost +1 and 9 cost +1 is worth keeping at level 1. It will become a 9 cost +2 chip. 2 of those 9 cost + 2 chips can now become a level a 10 cost level 3 chip. That 10 cost +3 chip can now be fused with a 9 cost +3 to produce an 11 cost +4 which themselves can combine to create a 13 cost +5 which at this point this chart finally recognizes as worth keeping. Something you would not obtain following this chart as none of chips are used are recommended for keeping. Meaning you would have wasted a lot more of your time farming higher rarity chips throwing away huge piles of chips that could have become a +8 diamond chip.

"Most efficient load" for Charge Attack should be 1x8[21] - these chips stack their bonuses to 100%, not their indicated values (e.g. one +1 chip and one +2 chip together will give bonus +200%, not +300%). It's easy to check in-game.
