Key Items in NieR: Automata is an Item Category that are mainly used in certain objectives of the game such as unlocking chests, opening doors, and progressing vital points for the main campaign. Key Items in NieR Automata are divided into two types, an accessory that alters the look or color of certain features such as clothing, hair color, design of the Pod, and more, while Key Items themselves are critical items that are used to progress the story or unlock points of interests. Key Items are usually found at unique areas of a location, given by NPCs, enemy drops, boss drops, or quest rewards. This page covers a list of all the Key Items featured in NieR Automata.
