Ro-Shi is a Boss in NieR: Automata. Ro-Shi is a Goliath Special Unit Machine Spider encountered in the Tower, and is later again faced as a hybrid boss Ko-shi & Ro-shi. Bosses are special larger Enemies that can be encountered throughout the game in different Locations. A Boss encounter will usually signify game progress or a chapter ending when following the main storyline. Some of these bosses may first be encountered As NPCs to introduce some Lore and backstory before they are inevitably faced in a Combat encounter as a Boss. Boss encountered are identified by their introductory title that will be displayed just before combat begins. Their HP bar and Level will also be displayed above the character throughout the combat encounter. Some bosses in the game may be optional and avoided. All information on optional or required bosses stats, Locations, encounters and strategies can be found on their designated Bosses
A machine lifeform formed by combining two multi-legged, Goliath-class units. Former leg sections of combined units have been repurposed into a pair of powerful arms making it capable of rolling out powerful attacks from both close and long range.

Ro-Shi Strategies NieR Automata
Ro-Shi Strategy (Melee) NieR AutomataRo-shi's encounter comes after the boss encounter with Ko-Shi. It starts by expelling lines of orbs that you can use melee against to avoid getting hit. This interaction with interachange with a few platform switches and is accompanied by a few smaller Machine units. that have their own set of attacks. Continue to use your melee to we've your way in between the orb formations. The orbs are released from the three prongs directly in front of the Ro-Shi Unit. Avoid standing directly in front of the unit.
The next inter action with Roshi will be in a larger round arena, giving it more variety of attacks. This time Ro-Shi can shoot lasers and rotate. You will need to be directly in front to receive damage, so to avoid damage stay out of its line of sight. These orbs will also have a variety of formations when released. Orb Flurries can be released or they can form rings as they disperse. Use melee attacks to get rid of them before they reach you.
This sequence will continue to alternate between the boss battle against Ko-Shi. You will need to continue to attack the unit until its HP has depleted and this will trigger the next cutscene.

|3 Prong Orb release||Orbs are sporadically released from the unit in all directions. They are slow moving and can be dodged.|
|3-Prong laser||This time the prongs in front of the unit have the ability to shoot laser beams. Circle behind or repostition to avoid the front of the unit.|
|Orb formations||These orbs will nor be emitted in different formations. Avoid the front of the unit for a better chance ofaoiding the orbs.|
