A multi-legged, Goliath-class machine lifeform equipped with two massive blades. By emitting energy from the tips of its legs, it can move about as though gliding across the ground. The unit's sides serve as weapon racks that can launch missiles and other projectiles, while additional plating attached to the legs reinforces its weak armor. When the situation demands it, the unit can purge this plating and transform into a spherical form capable of spin attacks.

So-Shi Strategies NieR Automata

So-Shi Strategy (Melee) NieR Automata

At the start of the combat encounter, your pod will provide an Alert: Energy shield detected over enemy unit. Physical defense shield detected. Analysis: Both long- and close-range attacks are ineffective. Proposal: Energy source should be destroyed. Given the limited space of this arena, you will need to use the round space to your advantage. This round area allows you to constantly move as the Goliath attacks. While the goliath is on on side of the arena, move along the edge of the opposite side and wait for its approach. Once it approaches continue to run along the edge to the other side until the enemy shield has been deactivated. This will give you a chance to approach and deal all you attacks until its hp is depleted.

So-Shi Attacks NieR Automata

First Phase
Melee approach Unit advances with swinging melee attacks. Side step this attack since it moves in a linear directions and approaches slowly.
Vertical Beam Short ranged attack that sends a wave of damage. Keep out of range to avoid damage.
Horizontal Beam Has a longer range than the vertical beam attack. Sends out a wave shooting in the direction it is facing. This doesn't move quickly which will give you time to dodge.
Slam Unit lifts itself and lands. As long as you are not within close proximity, you will avoid damage. This will also allow you to reposition since it will take some time before it can resume its attacks.
